Grandparents
Day
September
7, 2008
Grandparents'
Day was on September 7, 2008. In honor of the day, we are featuring
two articles on grandparents. The first article, The
Value of Grandparents outlines the unique roles grandparents
play in their grandchild's' life. It also gives advice on how to
become surrogate grandparents, or grandchildren. Our second article,
Grandparents
Parenting Grandchildren offers valuable advice for grandparents
who are raising their grandchildren. This article offers guidelines
on custody arrangements, receiving financial aid, and more valuable
advice learned from other grandparents raising their grandchildren.
We encourage you to read both
articles
today!

What About Marriage and Children
The most discussed issue today is marriage. Whether it's how to strengthen your own, help a friend's or defending it, marriage is in the headlines. All too often we entertain this discussion without considering the children. Read this brochure or right click and save the Marriage and Children PDF (4.3 MB) to see why you cannot separate the two.

The
Happiness Trap, By Roberto Rivera y Carlo, Sept. 5, 2008
"For us, "happiness" consists of as-close-to-unlimited-as-is-possible
choice. The "good life" consists in being free to do, come, and
go as we please.
Obviously children - or any other responsibility or obligation
to something other than our personal satisfaction - stand in the
way of this freedom."
